Buckeye Benefit Consulting takes pride in serving our community through the highest quality service, but it doesn't stop there. We give back to our communities by committing a percentage of our revenues to local non-profits.
In 2009 we became involved with Fast Forward Therapy, a Columbus-based non-profit dedicated to help families with autistic children. They have a highly specialized program designed to care for autistic children both during the school year and throughout the summer months, and with the help of their supporters they are able to provide assistance to children from families of all income levels.
In August 2009 we had a great time taking the children in the summer program, along with their FFT counselors and their families, to a Columbus Clippers game. The kids had a blast with all of the great amenities of the brand new Huntington Park.
Currently we have a wonderful partnership with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, making contributions for each new quote and referral we receive with no purchase necessary.
The Importance of Independence
We represent every major life, health, and disability carrier that sells business in Ohio. We have worked with those carriers for 12 years and know the niches they serve.
We are the only broker in central Ohio that specializes in life, health, commercial, personal lines, AND supplemental products such as accident, cancer, and critical illness insurance, in-house.
At BBC we talk people out of nearly as much insurance as we sell. We ask questions to ensure that you are not being redundant in your coverage, and show you where to spend your money more wisely, even if it isn’t with us.
We actively seek out opportunities to involve our partners, and we always look to do business with local companies first. We are actively involved with Chambers of Commerce and local government.
We designate a percentage of Company revenues to local charitable causes, investing in our local communities. We are also open to making contributions to our customers’ favorite charities.
Buckeye Benefit Consulting was officially formed on September 11, 2008. Our founder and President, Eric J. Rine, had been in business for around 11 years at that point and felt that he needed to take his company in a direction that focused mainly on his native Ohio market.
Mr. Rine started his career in January 1998 with Trustmark Insurance in Chicago, Illinois. After four years learning employee benefits from the inside out, he landed a position with Talus Brokerage in Cleveland, Ohio. Talus was the largest General Agent in the state of Ohio at the time. Two years later, he found himself living his dream of being an independent agent.
His strategic partnerships with other local business owners puts BBC's customers in the fortunate position to find excellent service and value in all of their endeavors. Having served in the Air Force since 1990 (and presently serving in the Air Force Reserves), Rine brings a military precision to our agency, and we have come to expect excellence in all we do.
Mr. Rine's personal cellular phone number is available to every single one of our end users, which are several thousand strong. Our service office in Hartville - (330) 877-0328 - does such a wonderful job that it's unheard of for a customer to call with a complaint to our President.
Today, we operate as a full-service insurance agency, representing several companies in all arenas of insurance: Life, Health, Auto/Home, Commercial, and Supplemental (Voluntary) Benefits.
